Hans Richter combines the mechanical skills of a thoroughly trained technician with the abilities of an effective administrator. As a licensed pilot, flight instructor and glider pilot, he firmly believes that machinery in motion is unforgiving of both poor maintenance and bad decisions. For 30 years he has applied that skill, ability and understanding to the care and maintenance of German automobiles.

Hans was trained in auto mechanics and management in Germany through the Auto Mechanic Academy and the Opel, General Motors and Mercedes-Benz organizations. His experience includes serving as a Master Mechanic for dealerships in Germany and Switzerland, Supervisor of Maintenance for Maier Transportation Company and 15 years as a Technical Manager for a Mercedes-Benz dealership. Hans has served as a volunteer for the AGEH (German Peace Corps) for four years in Upper Volta, West Africa.

As president of Texas-German Autohaus, Inc., Hans is committed to the highest technical and ethical standards. He sees his relationships with his customers as a teacher as well as a provider of meticulous care. Adolf Petry's lifework has been to develop and refine the quality of care and service for fine automobiles. Houston's most discriminating owners of German cars know him well. For over thirty years he has been the guardian of the automobiles of Houston businessmen and women, sports figures, Hollywood stars and even astronauts. David Scott, the first man to drive on the surface of the moon, depends on Adolf for the meticulous vehicle maintenance of one who fully understands the importance of reliability and performance.

Adolf was born and educated in Rheinland Pfalz, Germany. Under the rigorous German system for training and licensing automobile technicians, he attended technical school, served his apprenticeship and passed the licensing exam with a Note of Excellence. His forty-six years of automobile experience includes serving dealerships in Europe and Canada, diagnostic and analysis work at the Adam Opel Test Center in Germany, and over twenty-four years at Helmut Holder Motors in Houston.

In 1992 Adolf joined with Hans Richter to continue a tradition of the latest technology combined with an unrelenting attention to detail for owners of the finest German automobiles.
