This place is outstanding!! They went above and beyond when I brought in my 535i BMW today. Great work, great customer service and very professional. I will certainly be back!!

I took my vehicle in for an oil change after receiving a mail out from Texas German Autohaus. After reading other great reviews online, I felt confident that Hans and Rich were more than capable of caring for my car. When I arrived, I was greeted at the door with a smile and a hand shake by one of the owners. The facility is super clean, uncrowded and the waiting room is very nice - it has a tv and a specialty coffee machine. Some major perks with my service were a free car wash, free ride to and from work or home, $50 off your first visit and a bottle of wine when I left. The oil change was moderately priced and much cheaper than at the dealership, PLUS I received those added bonuses just mentioned. Also, I am a young female and felt like I was spoken to respectfully and my contact there didnt "dumb down" his explanation of suggested routine maintenance for my next visit. In fact, the service advisor gave me exact pricing to expect for the next factory recommended service. He also explained that not everything suggested by the dealer would be necessary all at once. Overall, I felt that TGA was honest, direct and friendly. You may be able to find cheaper labor elsewhere, but TGA's customer service is top notch and they seem to be competent and honest. Great location in Greenway Plaza too.

Outstanding is the first word that comes to mind! Initially you fear it will be expensive because not only are the grounds, garage and interiors well maintained the staff is very dedicated and helpful. I was wowed by the feedback and servicing of my vehicle then learned you get $50 off as a first time customer and a nice bottle of wine. This is surely worth it and hope you like it too!

This review is based only on the estimate I received from T-G-A. I did not get my car repaired here because I believe they tried to overcharge me. Details: My BMW overheated so I had it towed to T-G-A. Being new to town, I chose the shop based on Yelp reviews. Matt, the service advisor I worked with, seemed very friendly and turned an estimate around to me in a matter of hours. However, the cost I was quoted was far higher than I feel is fair. Matt's $1,800 estimate included a new radiator (legitimate -- mine had cracked) as well as a new mounting bracket for the AC pump and new tensioner/pulleys and belts. I asked if they could work with me at all on the price and they did lower the labor rate to make the total $1,600. Even with the lower price, I had a gut feeling that it was too high so I had my car towed to another shop for a 2nd opinion. Their estimate was $750 (yes -- HALF the cost) and did not include a lot of the work that T-G-A told me I needed. They said my tensioners/pulleys and belts looked more than fine and that the AC pump bracket was something that could be easily repaired instead of replaced.

I want to like them, I do. They offered me a ride to and from work. They took my car over to the Texas inspection station for me (I'm brand spankin' new to the state). They even changed my appointment twice when I needed it. However, they tried to sell me rotors I didn't need; mine were still as smooth as glass upon visual inspection. I was sold a belt tensioner I also could have gone without. All in all, I went in for brake pads and walked out with an $800 bill. I get it, I'm a young female with a German car. I am fairly well versed in how to avoid unnecessary repair costs. After all, I dodged the rotors which would have tacked on an additional $450. A few other items were brought to my attention, but after I discussed the car's maintenance history, they agreed to reset some of the sensors. I'm annoyed more than angry. Again, I want to like them...

Have dealt with TGA for a while now and they have always given me great service at a good price. Wonderful alternative for to a dealer. They've always been straight with me and give me an honest answer on what maintenance and repairs need to be addressed and what is not important. They got me in the door with a new customer discount and the convenience and price is such that they've kept me since. Very happy with their quality of service and their attentiveness to doing things right shows.

Honest estimates, not the cheapest but they do a good job and do not try to rip you off. Now if you have a german car you recognize these things are not cheap to maintain. Their estimates are always reasonable, they will pick you up and drop you back from work. Prefer them over my BMW dealership always trying to charge for some new thing or a cheap mechanic where i don't know what to expect.

I have brought several BMWs here over the years, both late model and vintage. I was introduced to the shop by friends in the BMWCCA, and haven't gone anywhere else for more than 10 years. Hans and Adolph are very upfront about the status of your vehicle and honest about costs. Their labor rate is high, but they charge you for actual work, not the "standard" rate at the stealership. The work is outstanding, the shop is cleaner than my kitchen, and they are very good about picking up/dropping off when your car is in for service. I try to do as much maintenance as I can, but when I'm out of time or in over my head, TGA is always my shop of choice. I recommend these guys with no reservations.

If you have a German car that is out of warranty, bring it here. I have had nothing but good experiences here. They are always efficient, friendly, and provide good service. The prices are slightly expensive, but seem to be in range for repairs to German vehicles. I am consistently impressed by the service. Never before have I had an auto repair place bring an issue to my attention, but tell me to wait to repair it because it is not a safety issue. Just recently I was told that I needed to replace some hoses (not sure exactly which hoses or why), but that it was not urgent and they would keep an eye on the issue rather than telling me to spend $500 on it now. I was really surprised by this because most places would have told me to replace it right away. A few other benefits: TGA washes your car after it is serviced and normally gives you a bottle of wine around Christmas time. Also, they have a shuttle that will drop you off at your office or home.

Dealt with them over several years, very honest and reliable, and very teutonic, in the best possible sense. My mother has a bad habit of dropping change in the cigarette lighter in her BMW and shorting out the fuse, they always repair it gratis. They work very quickly and are very prompt in giving you a ride or picking you up. They will give you very clear answers to questions about repairs and are happy to advise which repairs are more important than others. If you have a Mercedes, BMW, or Porsche, I can't reccomend this place highly enough.
